service
The service
- Spindrift is a 5-question music trivia game. Each round gives a paraphrased clue about a recent chart release — never real lyrics — and you have 15 seconds to answer.
- Every new account gets one free run. Spindrift Pro costs $1.99 per month and includes 10 runs per month, with entry to the monthly prize board.
Accounts
- You need an account to play and to appear on the leaderboard. Keep your login credentials safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Your username is public on the leaderboard. Don't pick one that impersonates another person or artist.
Fair play
- No looking up answers, using AI tools, or getting help during a run.
- Runs are monitored: leaving the game tab or answering suspiciously fast flags the score. Flagged scores don't count toward the leaderboard or prizes.
- We may remove scores, withhold prizes, or close accounts for cheating or abuse.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all payments. Paddle handles billing, taxes, and refunds on our behalf.
- Pro renews monthly at $1.99 until cancelled. Unused runs don't roll over to the next month.
- You can cancel anytime; see our refund policy for details.
Prizes
- Monthly prizes go to the top 3 point holders whose scores are clean and verified. See the prizes page for this month's rewards and dates.
- Prizes are awarded at our discretion where fraud or technical error is suspected. Shipping of physical prizes is limited to addresses we can reasonably serve.
Artist spotlight
- Paid artist spotlight slots ($13.99 for 7 days) are reviewed before going live. We may reject submissions with broken links, misleading claims, or inappropriate content.
- A spotlight is promotional placement, not an endorsement, and never guarantees streams or sales.
Music and content
- All clues are original paraphrases — no lyrics are reproduced. Background music is original, royalty-free composition made for Spindrift.
- Song and artist names are used for identification only; all trademarks belong to their owners.
Changes and liability
- We may update the game, pricing, or these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page.
- The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
